Georgia's National Environmental Quality Agency warned of a sharp deterioration in weather conditions in the state on November 5. Precipitation is expected almost everywhere, and heavy rain fell in places in West Georgia. According to the forecasters, the bad weather will be accompanied by thunderstorms, hail and strong winds. A storm with a force of 4-5 points is expected on the Black Sea coast. Experts warn that heavy rains could cause a significant rise in water levels and flooding in West Georgia rivers and their tributaries. In mountainous areas there is a high probability of landslides and mudflows, and in populated areas local sections of streets and individual infrastructures may be flooded. The agency assesses the threat level of expected natural disasters as medium.
