The recently established Neo Georgian Bank has signed an agreement with the platform operator Namela International. Tourists from China and other Asian countries will be able to pay for purchases, restaurant and hotel bills using familiar mobile applications - using QR codes. A Georgian business will have access to an international payment network that unites more than 2 billion user accounts and 150 million merchants worldwide. In the future, Georgian bank cards and apps will also be able to work in the Alipay+ international network. The full launch of the system is planned for the end of the second quarter of 2027 - after receiving the required approvals and completing tests.
