Yasko demands to collect from Saakashvili a third of his income for the upkeep of his daughter, as well as to deprive him of parental rights.

First, an unexpected legal problem arose: the Ukrainian court was unable to determine Saakashvili's official registered residence and refused to issue a court order for the collection of alimony.

At the same time, the former president of Georgia has been under arrest in his country since October 2021. Saakashvili has already responded to reports of the lawsuit. He stated that he loved his daughter, but because of his imprisonment he could not meet her in person.

According to him, his mother Julie Alasanya repeatedly visited her granddaughter, helped her with money every month and sold part of the family property in Georgia to give the girl an apartment in the center of Kyiv.

The Ukrainian media estimates the cost of the apartment, which is apparently intended, at about 5.6 million hryvnias.

At the same time, Saakashvili did not publicly criticize Yasko.
