Trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed with sharp declines. The Tel Aviv 125 index fell by 2.3%. TA 90 decreased by 4.4%. The Bank Index collapsed by 4.6%, the Insurance Index by 5.24% and the Tel Aviv Construction Index by 8.3%. The shekel weakened by more than 2% compared to the leading currencies. The dollar traded at a rate of 3.12 and the euro at a rate of 3.47.
