The Likud party welcomed the withdrawal of the Ahi movement from the elections: "It was agreed with them that a deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Office will be appointed from among the members of the Knesset of the Likud to promote the common principles or on behalf of the Ahi party in accordance with the provisions of the applicable law."
