Along with pouring additional forces and weapons into the Middle East, the United States is working to reduce the presence of its people in the threatened areas. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the American military moved some of its soldiers from bases in the region, and in addition to evacuating non-essential workers and their families from Saudi Arabia, family members of staff members from several other American embassies in the Middle East were also moved.
