The Association of Haifa Bay Cities for the Protection of the Environment reports that last night an deviation from the daily standard for benzene was measured in Kiryat Binyamin, for the first time in several years. The exception was registered against the background of maintenance activity at the Gadiv plant in the Bezan complex. In accordance with the instructions of the order given to the Bezan, the activity at the factory was stopped immediately. As a result, the benzene concentrations decreased, and as of this morning they meet the standard.
