The Legal Adviser to the Government informed the High Court that the scope of evasion of the IDF draft reached about 110,000 draftees. According to her, the state does not exhaust the existing enforcement tools. She asked the court to consider operative instructions for denying additional economic benefits to evaders and to set a close hearing, against the background of gaps in enforcement by the police and the army and the cancellation of proactive enforcement operations that were planned in recent months.
