At the end of a stormy debate and opposition from ultra-Orthodox members of the Knesset, the Finance Committee approved tax benefits for hundreds of associations under Section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance. The opposition of the ultra-orthodox MKs comes in light of the fact that ultra-orthodox associations that have not regulated the status of yeshiva students destined for their services in the IDF are not included in the lists.
