The chairman of the joint list, Yosef Jabarin, appealed to the central election committee and the director of elections in the police in order to prevent the entry of political activists and armed observers to the polling stations in the Arab communities. "The armed presence of political activists, including observers on behalf of the parties, inside or near the polling stations, may create a significant sense of threat or deterrence among the voters and harm the sense of security and the freedom to vote," the petition states.
