Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney announced a series of new measures by the government to toughen the punishment against the rioters in Milan and other cities. Among the measures, participating in violence during a demonstration will be a criminal offense and may result in a prison sentence and a fine, parents will pay for the damages of their children, the treatment of minors will be aggravated and the security forces will be strengthened.
