The state attorney's office filed an indictment against Wissam Abu Zaila, 22 years old, and Alaa Abu Zagila, 27 years old, both residents of Rahat, after allegedly firing about 52 bullets from an M16 weapon in a residential area of the city. The weapon was given to Abu Zaila as part of his reserve service in the IDF. According to the indictment, the two fled the scene in Abu Zaila's vehicle, and were later arrested in possession of the weapon, a cartridge with approximately 24 bullets, six empty cartridges and additional ammunition. The two are charged with the offense of firing a firearm in a residential area, and Abu Zagila is also charged with weapons and ammunition offences.
