The editor-in-chief of the Washington Post, Matt Murray, condemned the incident in Binyamin and called for an investigation: "Washington Post photographer Heidi Levin was attacked this morning by Israeli settlers while she was covering events in the West Bank. She carried prominent identification marks that clearly defined her as a journalist. Although we are relieved that Heidi received medical treatment and that she is in a safe place, we are shocked by this unjustified attack on a journalist who was performing her duty, and call on the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and act in accordance with its findings."
