A 19-year-old boy from Norway, Johannes Netland, was sentenced today to 20 years in prison in Great Britain, after being convicted of conspiracy to commit murder directed by Iran. Netland was arrested in March 2025 in a hotel room in northern England, in possession of two firearms and ammunition, after being recruited through the Swedish organized crime network Foxtrot which, according to the prosecution, is operated by Iran. Netland admitted to possessing the weapons and ammunition, but denied intending to commit the murder. In July he was convicted in a retrial, and has now been sentenced at the Criminal Court in London.
