The Ha'el Eilot Regional Council responded: "The border with Jordan in the Southern Arava region continues to be a highway for drones and the smuggling of drugs and weapons, and the flow is only increasing. Our fear is that an infrastructure that is used for criminal activity will be used for terrorist activity in the future - and that must not happen." The Council calls on the IDF and the Ministry of Defense to understand the extent of the phenomenon and to increase the means of detecting and preventing drones and smuggling.
