Mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus were found in a water source near Kibbutz Elonim, the council said, following a report received from the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The issue is being dealt with by the Council's Environmental Quality Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The council urges residents to protect themselves from mosquito bites by closing nets on windows and doors and using mosquito repellents approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Health.
