The Ministry of Environmental Protection issued an administrative order against the Gadiv plant in the refinery complex in the Gulf, following the unusual air pollution measured this week. The serious deviations of the measured benzene concentrations led, among other things, to the suspension of classes in two schools in the city. As part of the order, the plant is prohibited from resuming the maintenance work that was stopped on Sunday, until the ministry's requirements are met and a plan to prevent additional abnormal emissions is approved.
