Attorney Hofit Kantrowitz from the Southern District Attorney's Office, who handled the case, said at the end of the hearing: "This is an unusual case in its severity, in which a citizen of the State of Israel chose to act against it, to have contact with a terrorist organization and even to join the IDF on behalf of a terrorist organization, with the aim of gathering information from within the IDF and harming the security of the state.
