During the night, hackers caused the temperature in many refrigerators in supermarkets in France to rise to 50 degrees Celsius, resulting in fires and the loss of food products in hundreds of stores throughout the country, as part of a large-scale cyber attack. The prosecution in Paris announced that an "extensive scale" attack affected "refrigerators connected to the network of some of the largest food chains in France", and that the damages include "loss of food and fires"
