The Diaspora Ministry recommended to the Population and Immigration Authority to prevent the entry of a journalist from Germany who called for sanctions on Israel and whose application for a work visa was rejected. The journalist, Sarna Bilancheri, accused, among other things, Israel of being an "apartheid state" and publicly called for the imposition of economic and military sanctions on Israel
