The powerful storm "Northeaster" hits the east coast of the USA and causes severe disruptions, extensive flooding and the declaration of a state of emergency in New York and New Jersey. The storm led to the cancellation of more than 400 flights and the delay of approximately 3,000 more. Due to the flooding on the New Jersey coast, a voluntary evacuation of residents began.
