Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the UN General Assembly: "Russia demands the immediate release of Nicolás Maduro and his wife and that similar events do not repeat themselves." Lavrov also referred to the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other senior Iranian officials and said that this is an "unacceptable expression of coercion by force."
