Zelensky: We are still waiting for American approval for Patriot missiles Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that his country has been waiting for almost a month for the approval of US Defense Secretary Pete Gast to supply critical missiles. The delay in sending the missiles added to tensions between Ukraine and America. Tensions rose after US President Donald Trump announced a deal to supply diesel from Russia and criticized Zelensky for Ukraine's refusal to stop attacks on Russian refineries.
