I don't trust the Russians'': Lithuania's gypsy president warned against continued Russian provocations against NATO countries, Politico reports. According to the Lithuanian leader, Russia currently does not have enough resources for a large-scale military operation against the alliance, as the main forces are concentrated in the war in Ukraine. However, ad nauseam, Moscow will continue to test NATO's readiness for a collective response, bringing the situation closer to a possible implementation of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty. We are mainly talking about hybrid threats - drone invasion, cyber attacks and arson. According to the President of Lithuania, such incidents could affect not only NATO's eastern wing, but also Germany, Denmark and other European countries. Russia's main goal, according to Nausada, is to find out with what determination the allies are ready to respond to the crossing of the red lines they have established. Separately, the president of Lithuania spoke about the chances of ending the war in Ukraine. Nausada does not expect serious peace talks until spring 2027. In his opinion, during the winter Russia will continue to pressure Kiev, including through attacks on Ukrainian cities. "The Russians will only pretend to negotiate. I don't trust them," he said. The Lithuanian president also suggests that Putin continue to present conditions that are unacceptable to Ukraine. At the same time, Nauzada expressed confidence that Ukraine will be able to survive the coming winter. "If Ukraine survives this winter, and I am convinced that it will, the chances for serious negotiations will improve in 2027. I don't expect them sooner," emphasized the Lithuanian leader.
