The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagai: The Prime Minister of Qatar traveled to Iran yesterday, and this is a continuation of the discussions we are holding with the countries of the region - both in the bilateral field regarding the cooperation between the two countries, and in accordance with the fulfillment of Qatar's role as one of the mediators.
This matter is not unusual in conditions where our area is inflamed. Naturally, the countries of the region strive both to convey messages and, if they have proposals or initiatives, to raise them. This trip was also one of such trips that took place in the last three to four weeks, and Qatar tried to present its positions and points in this regard. As I mentioned, it had both a bilateral nature and mediator-related issues.
