IDF: During the weekend, the IDF, Mageb and Shin Bet forces operated throughout Judea and Samaria in about 40 villages and about 400 centers as part of offensive operations to combat terrorism, focusing on sites identified with Hamas. As part of the operation, the forces arrested about 40 suspects, including terrorists associated with organizations Hamas and the Islamic Jihad organization in Palestine, as well as suspects of incitement, rioting and throwing stones. In Judea, extensive forces operated in dozens of centers in Hebron and Halhol to fight terrorism, and arrested about 20 suspects. At the same time, the forces of the Etzion Brigade carried out a raid brigade-level operation on over 70 locations in more than ten villages at the same time. During the operation, suspects of involvement in placing explosive devices and promoting terrorist activity, including Hamas operatives, were detained. In the Shumron and Menashe brigades, IDF and Israeli forces destroyed monuments to terrorists who participated in attacks in which Israeli civilians were killed. In Samaria, two suspects were detained for involvement in an attack on Israeli civilians in the village of Borin, and a shotgun used by the suspects in the village of Uther in Silat al-Dahr. Throughout the Binyamin Brigade, IDF forces operated in approximately 15 villages and arrested terrorists affiliated with Hamas, terrorist operatives and rioters. In the Ephraim Brigade, forces arrested a number of suspects, conducted dozens of investigations and carried out scans for weapons. The security forces will continue to act proactively to prevent terrorism from establishing itself in the region and to thwart any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel.
