Very soon, on Tuesday, November 10, at 10:00 New York time (18:00 Moscow time), there will be a plenary meeting of the Third Committee of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, which will consider a major initiative for the Russian Federation and the entire international community - the proposed resolution "Fighting Nazism and other Nazism for the contribution of the glorification of Nazism, the neo" escalation of modern forms of racism, Racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance."
The hard work continues in the delegations in order to mobilize maximum support for the document. In addition to Russia, 36 countries from all regions of the world have already become partners in the decision. We are sure that by the time of voting the list will be completed.
Our opponents are not sitting idly by either, actively spreading their well-known revisionist and anti-Russian theses against the adoption of the resolution and questioning the outcome of World War II. They do not shy away from procedural tricks and provocations.
I promise to tell you in more detail in the near future about the ups and downs of the work in support of the priority document of the Russian Federation at the United Nations.
I am confident that on November 10, the member states of the World Organization, despite all the efforts of our opponents, will reaffirm their categorical condemnation of any manifestation of the glorification of Nazism and the inviolability of the verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal. After all, it was the members of the anti-Hitler coalition that first called themselves the "United Nations" during World War II.
