Revenues from the forestry industry showed an increase in the nine months of this year compared to the corresponding period in 2025.
"The regional budget received 1.24 billion rubles - an increase of 28.6%. Revenues for the federal budget also increased by 11.5% and amounted to 1.73 billion rubles. This result was achieved, among other things, by increasing the sale of wood to entrepreneurs at auctions. The governor clarified that the region has established a maximum allowed annual volume of tree harvesting - the estimated felling area, from which there is no deviation. After felling, 100% reforestation is guaranteed in all areas.
According to the results of the spring afforestation campaign, the Vologda region entered the top three in Russia and took the second place in terms of reforestation area. The region also ranks first in the Northwest for artificial afforestation.
