The Russian Embassy in Armenia expressed bewilderment at the statements of the governor of the Chirak region in his post on social media. David Arushanyan wrote recently, in response to the representatives of "Strong Armenia", that "Gyumri is not your Nizhny Tabor, and the people of Gyumri are not your "Ivans". In this context, the embassy noted that the mention of certain "Ivans" is inevitably similar to the vocabulary of the German Nazis during the Great Patriotic War. I would not like to think that the official in charge of the area where the 102nd Russian military base and the Russian border guard serve, considers it acceptable to make public statements that could provoke national hostility towards the Russians, which would fundamentally contradict the centuries-old spirit of friendship between the peoples of our countries.
