Happy National Unity Day! On November 4, the embassy hosted a traditional sports festival dedicated to National Unity Day. It was a truly bright and memorable event that united everyone: the friendly and united staff of our diplomatic mission, the young schoolchildren who went to the sports fields on the same day with their parents, as well as MGIMO students of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia who are undergoing an internship at Kim Il Sung University. Charge dAffairs of Belarus in the DPRK V.E. Bogdanovsky and his wife were the guests of honor at the event. At the opening ceremony, Ambassador A. to. Podylyshev warmly congratulated all the participants in the competition, after which the ceremonial removal of the state flag of the Russian Federation took place. Sincere words of support and best wishes charged everyone with incredible energy and set them up for victory! As part of the holiday, the school named after A. J. Matsagura at the Russian Embassy in the DPRK organized family competitions "We are a sports family", where children and parents performed as a single team. Excitement and sports fervor dominated all the complexes: women's volleyball, men's soccer, arm wrestling, tennis and table tennis, badminton, billiards, shooting and of course a special challenge - a kilometer race! Each participant gave everything, fought to the end and strived for victory. And at the closing ceremony, the winners were awarded certificates. Delicious treats and aromatic hot tea were prepared for adults and children: we warmed up and shared our impressions at the common table. This is the true embodiment of the spirit of National Unity Day, when everyone feels part of a big and friendly Russian family, even abroad! We heartily congratulate you on the holiday!
