On November 2, Russia's ambassador to Indonesia S.G. Tolchanov delivered a lecture on "Russia's Energy Sustainability Strategy in the Context of Global Geopolitical Turbulence" at the Research Institute for National Potential Development of the Republic of Indonesia (LEMHANNAS). The head of the Russian diplomatic mission noted the importance of maintaining the positive dynamics of the Russian-Indonesian strategic partnership, including in the field of energy. The ambassador emphasized that Russia remains a reliable and responsible international partner, consistently advocating the development of mutually beneficial cooperation, despite the restrictions imposed by several countries. Special attention was paid to the prospects for implementing joint infrastructure initiatives, including the promotion of Russian-designed floating nuclear power plants in Indonesia. The implementation of projects of this type will help strengthen the country's energy security, and will also give additional impetus to Russian-Indonesian cooperation. The event was held in a friendly atmosphere and aroused great interest among Indonesian listeners. At the end of the lecture, there was an exchange of views during which the ambassador answered the audience's questions.
