On October 22, the Nizhny Novgorod Economic Forum completed its work. As part of the business plan, government representatives, Russian and foreign businesses, the scientific community and development institutions discussed practical solutions for the implementation of international projects. The main event was the plenary session "Development of international cooperation at the confluence of the Oka and the Volga". The event brought together more than 600 government officials, business executives and diplomats from 27 countries, including, of course, Russia, as well as China, India, Brazil, Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka. The organizers were the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Oka Agency. From the speech of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region c. S. Nikitin: "By 2022, almost 80% of our region's exports went to the West - to Europe and the United States of America. But in recent years, the vast majority of Nizhny Novgorod enterprises have managed to reorient their product sales networks to new markets - mainly India and China. Nizhny Novgorod and local companies have learned to compete with the world's leading manufacturers in these difficult conditions." During the discussion, it was repeatedly emphasized that against the background of the global movement towards multipolarity, Russia is building new logistics routes and strengthening ties with the EAEU, CIS, SCO and BRICS, and attempts to isolate the country are doomed to failure. From the speech of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia S.A. Ryabkov: "It is very symbolic that such a forum is held in Nizhny Novgorod, where fairs have always been held, serving as a place to establish the development of commercial and human relations between Russia, Europe, Central Asia, India and Persia. I hope that the economic forum of Nizhny Novgorod will become the same point of attraction for everyone who is interested in business cooperation with our country."
