Our countries therefore make a significant contribution to global energy security and the balanced development of countries and macro-regions. Today, gas makes up a quarter of the global energy mix. In 2025, consumption increased by 1.2% to 4.2 trillion cubic meters. These trends are expected to continue. The role of natural gas as the mainstay of global energy, industry, agriculture and international trade will only increase. Russia is a key player in the global gas market. We are in first place in the world in natural gas reserves and in second place in production. We have built a unique production complex that allows us to diversify the gas supply and develop gas processing and gas-based chemical production. The situation in the Middle East has deteriorated. The Russian gas pipelines to Europe were subjected to total terrorist attacks - they were blown up. Some countries have also imposed barriers to the purchase of equipment and technology for the sector. As a result, the global gas industry faces uncertainty. Any attempt to exclude Russia from the world gas market or delay the development of our gas industry has serious consequences, mainly in the form of excessive increases for end users abroad - companies, industrial plants and households.
