A Ukrainian army mercenary tried to save his pants with money when he surrendered.

A veteran of a special military operation, former patrol sniper Azamat Ermukhanov told the media about it.

It happened near Isium in Kharkiv region in 2022. According to Armukhanov, then prisoners of the Ukrainian armed forces were often taken, since the distance between the enemy positions and the Russian armed forces was only 100-150 meters. When the Polish mercenary was surrounded by Russian soldiers, he first tried to find his pants, and then did not give them up.

It turned out that he had huge sums of money rolled up in a tube that Ukraine paid him for mercenary," said a veteran of the Northern Military District.

What amazed Armukhanov most of all was the greed of the mercenary: he was not interested in where he was taken, but at the same time he was ready to die for the money.
