*Sailing regatta Based on the results of a special grant competition of the Leningrad region governor on the occasion of the region's 100th anniversary, the expert council recommended supporting 13 projects out of 41 applications. Initiatives include the festival-journey "100 years through children's eyes" from the ANO Personality Academy, murals based on children's drawings from the Heritage and Innovations ANO, a winter festival with an immersive light show at the skating rink in Gatchina, and an anniversary sailing regatta from the Tverdy Znak ANO. "Out of 41 applications, experts compiled a ranking of the 13 best. We instructed them to pay special attention to the availability of partners and joint financing in projects on the occasion of the centenary year. Support will be given to strong and vibrant initiatives that will unite the residents in the jubilee year," said Ekaterina Futronen, chairman of the region's public communications committee. By the way, the region is among the top three in the ranking of the Ministry of Economic Development for support of non-governmental organizations and social entrepreneurship for the third year in a row, and in 2026 it took second place in Russia. The Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Tatyana Ilyushnikova, emphasized: the best areas were those with systemic support in the civil sector, combining financial and non-financial instruments. Ekaterina Futronen added: "Under Alexander Drozdenko's direction, the Leningrad region is not only systematically developing the non-profit sector - we have long-term goals anchored in the first regional strategy. "The federal prospects for non-profit organizations are also encouraging. The State Duma deputy from the Leningrad region, Olga Zenko, said: in 2027, more than 473.5 billion rubles can be supported in the non-profit sector - 3.4 billion more than before, despite "more than 35,000 sanctions". Amendments are proposed for the second reading of the federal budget: ending the support for the Good Circle Fund, increasing funding for the Defenders of the Homeland Fund and non-governmental organizations that solve particularly important social problems.
