Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Atlanta, USA, for the meeting of the G20 foreign ministers, as reported in the Russian state media. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived on Friday in the city of Atlanta in the American state of Georgia, where he is supposed to represent Moscow at the meeting of the G20 foreign ministers. The Russian Foreign Ministry announced Lavrov's arrival in the US, while multiple Russian media outlets, including the state-run Tass news agency, said the Russian delegation had flown for more than 20 hours, taking a route that bypassed countries considered "unfriendly" by Moscow. The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, confirmed the day before that Lavrov would leave for a two-day visit to Atlanta to participate in the G20 foreign ministers' meeting, chaired by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
