Volodymyr Obertas, a press officer with Ukraine's 34th Marine Division, was killed in Kherson on October 27 after stepping on a mine while accompanying journalists filming the first day of the ceasefire. Obertas was from the Russian-occupied Maulshki. Before the full-scale invasion of Russia, he worked as a photographer and videographer in the press center of the city council. He joined the Defense Forces of Ukraine in 2022. He also filmed joint drone footage that showed the extent of the tragedy in Olsheki.
