Turkey complains about Russian gas being too expensive with a possible discount offer.
Turkey plans to end its reliance on Russian gas, but for cost reasons rather than geopolitical concerns, the country's Energy Minister Alferslan Bayerkat said on November 5, according to media reports.
However, "it could also be a bargaining message to Moscow: offer a better price or lose more market share," Isaac Levy, an energy policy analyst from the Center for Energy and Clean Air Research (CREA), told the Kyiv Independent.
