The United Nations has appointed a Russian diplomat to monitor mine action as Ukraine clears more than 300,000 explosive devices in Kherson province.
"Moscow has cut off the United Nations," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Horhei Tikhei wrote in X on October 29, criticizing the decision.
