A new episode of My Kyiv explores how Russia's war changed daily life in the capital.
"My Kyiv" is a documentary that began filming in 2018 as a portrait of modern life in the capital of Ukraine. The film initially focused on Kyiv's growing community of innovators, artists and entrepreneurs, and sought to challenge outdated stereotypes about Ukraine by highlighting the people shaping its creative and technological landscape.
When Russia launched the full-scale invasion in 2022, the story inevitably changed. What began as a film about a city redefining itself became a document of resilience - following how ordinary people adapted when their lives were suddenly reshaped by war.
"The Light That Remains", the fourth episode of the documentary series, returns to the residents of Kyiv living with repeated attacks, power outages and uncertainty about the future.
