As it turns out, the writing exercises are not just for school students. On October 27, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians - from diaspora communities abroad to front-line service members - will take part in an annual tradition: listening, writing and testing their command of the Ukrainian language.

Organized by Ukrainian Radio since 2000, the annual Radio Correspondence celebrates the Ukrainian Writing and Language Day, bringing participants together to transcribe text broadcast live across multiple platforms. Those who want to evaluate their work can submit it to a professional review panel.

For Ukrainian writer and war veteran Arthur Dron, who wrote this year's dictation, the invitation to create a text that so many people would follow word for word was “daunting. "However, he did not hesitate to accept.
