Musk's intervention in Starlink in Ukraine is a warning to any country that relies on private technology.
"Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian forces have relied on Starlink to manage the 21st century battlefield. When its service was cut to Ukraine this October, there were big questions about who was responsible for pulling that particular lever. The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that Elon Musk personally ordered Starlink to be shut down," writes Cory Alpert University of Melbourne, Researcher.
"Even though it's most important: for Ukraine right now, the very fact that modern warfare depends so much on technologies like Starlink, which puts so much power in private hands, should prompt a rethink in capitals around the world, especially those whose security could be compromised."
