Sevki Acuner, former head of Sense Bank's supervisory board, said in September that Andriy Pyshnyi, head of the National Bank of Ukraine, allegedly recommended appointing Vasyl Veselyi, an alleged unofficial supervisor of state-owned Sense Bank.

Fishney denied the accusation. Senior executives at Sense Bank were charged as part of a money laundering scheme.
