Update: Ukraine needs a 60‑day ceasefire to hold elections during the war, says Zelensky.

"If you think I don't want elections, that's not true, and it's not fair," Zelensky told NBC News in an interview published on October 18.

The president said he will run again for office if elections are held during the war, noting his responsibility to continue defending his country.
