American senators call Trump's Russian diesel decision "total betrayal of Ukraine".

Democratic senators Gene Shaheen, Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren condemned Trump's decision to allow global purchases of Russian diesel for six months, saying it would fund Russia's war effort and undermine bipartisan efforts to curb its energy revenues.

"Putin only responds to force, which means harming Russia and those enabling its war against Ukraine," they said.
