At least 15,000 civilian casualties were recorded in Ukraine in 2026, the UN report reveals.
The UN human rights office found that an average of more than 400 civilians were killed or injured every week in Ukraine during the first eight months of 2026, a 55% increase over the same period in 2025, High Commissioner Volker Turk told the Human Rights Council in Geneva on October 2.
