Europe must increase pressure against Russia, says Callas as EU sanctions deadline approaches.

"Sanctions are a central pillar of our response to Russia's war," Kaja Kalas, the EU's top diplomat, said at a press briefing at the UN General Assembly.

"We aim to close them soon and hopefully carry out the rollover quickly... Certain member states have put forward certain people to be deleted, which is why these discussions are ongoing at the moment."
