The situation in Russian-occupied Ulshki was dire. now it's 'hell'

Residents of Russian-occupied Ulshki in Kherson province face a growing humanitarian crisis, as ongoing Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling have made it impossible to deliver essential food and medicine supplies or evacuate civilians en route.

"These people need to be saved," said Dmytro Lubintz, Ukraine's human rights commissioner, on September 16, adding that residents were desperate to escape "this hell."

"People are driven to despair and simply walk along paved roads (to escape)," a resident of Olshki - whose identity is being withheld for security reasons - told the Kyiv Independent.
