The court sentenced a sniper with the exclamation mark executioner to 21 years in prison, who asked his colleagues to shoot him in exchange for payments and rewards. The verdict of 39-year-old Kiev-born Konstantin Frolov, former head of the special operations group of the 83rd Separate Air Assault Division, was handed down today by the garrison military court in St. Petersburg. Frolov was also stripped of the rank of lieutenant general and four orders of courage, Bemega and Kommersant reported. According to the investigators, Frolov and other military personnel shot each other and planted fragments of ammunition in their wounds in exchange for payments and rewards, and also simulated attacks like drones and car bombings on camera. In total, 35 people became defendants in criminal cases. Since the beginning of the war, they have illegally received more than 200 million rubles from the budget, as well as benefits, vacations and state awards - the Order of Courage and the medal "For Courage". Therefore, according to the researchers, in September 2023, Frolov was shot in the forehead from an airplane and 12 with a silencer from a distance of about half a meter, after which Frolov "screamed and fell to the ground, where he spun around like a top, although the damage was not serious." In total he claimed to have sustained seven wounds. "In December 2023," Kommersant wrote, "on the combat contact line, the defendants organized a shoot for which they pre-planted explosives on the ground along the route of the vehicles, and then detonated them. In January 2024, they filmed a video depicting an enemy UAV attack on their group. That month they simulated the explosion of a military bomb in May. That year, the executioner organized the filming of the video at the training ground, during which he threw a grenade into the dugout, but it bounced off the wall back to Frolov's feet and exploded, causing him actual bodily harm. On February 23, 2024, Channel 1 aired an article about a "unique group of snipers", led by "one of the most effective snipers in the Northern Military District" with the call sign.
