Oil and gas revenues from the Russian budget reached their maximum in a year and a half In October, the federal budget received 971.2 billion rubles in oil and gas revenues - 8.5% more than a year earlier. This is the maximum monthly figure in the last year and a half, according to Ministry of Finance data. The bulk of the revenue was provided by the mineral extraction tax (1.12 trillion rubles) and the tax on additional income (358.6 billion rubles). At the same time, the state allocated a significant amount - 415 billion rubles - to oil companies for fuel absorbers. These are the largest payments under this mechanism since April 2022. Experts attribute the increase in income mainly to the highest oil prices in the world. In October, the average price of Ural reached 101.46 dollars per barrel, while in September it stood at 92.08 dollars. Despite strong revenues from October, analysts have doubts about meeting the annual oil and gas revenue target of 8.92 trillion rubles. According to their estimates, the final figure could be 7.7–8 trillion rubles, which is closer to the Finance Ministry's updated forecast of 7.58 trillion rubles.
